Blocking time in the calendar with busy time is the easiest way to avoid unexpected appointments sneaking into lunch, school runs, or that rare quiet coffee.

Blocking Busy Time

The steps below use the Appointible for Business mobile app to add a busy time that will show in the Calendar and prevent new bookings in that period.

Open The App

Open the Appointible for Business mobile app and tap the plus (+) symbol on the calendar screen.

Open the Appointible for Business app and tap the plus symbol.

Add Busy Time

From the menu that appears, tap Add busy time.

Tap the Add busy time button.

Set Busy Details

Next, fill in the details for the busy time. I recommend setting these carefully so the calendar behaves exactly as expected.

  1. Date and time – choose the start and end time to block. During this period, new appointments cannot be booked.

  2. Service provider – select which staff member is busy. If a provider is selected, that provider will not be available for appointments in this time slot.

  3. Note (optional) – add a short note like “School pickup”, “Admin time”, or “Lunch”. This helps quickly remember why the slot is blocked.

  4. Tap Save to create the busy time.

Provide details about the busy time and save.

Check The Calendar

After saving, the busy time appears in the Calendar as a separate block. That time is now unavailable for new appointments, so surprise bookings will have to find another slot.

Editing Or Removing

If plans change, tap the busy time block in the Calendar to Edit busy time or Remove busy time. Adjusting or deleting it will immediately free that time for new appointments again.
