Editing Client Data

Client details change all the time – new phone, new email, sometimes even a whole new last name. Here is how to quickly update existing client data in Appointible.

Open Clients

Log in to Appointible and open Clients from the left sidebar.

Open Clients page

Find the client

Use the search bar at the top of the Clients page to quickly locate the client. It is possible to search by name, phone, or email. If the list is long, I recommend using More filters to narrow it down by lists or other criteria.

Search for client

Open client details

  1. In the client list, click the three dots next to the client name.

  2. Select Client details to open the full profile. It is also possible to click Edit client directly if that option is visible.

Open client details

Edit client fields

The Client details panel shows all information about the client – contact details, lists, notes, and any custom fields that were created in Fields.

  1. Click the pencil icon at the top of the Client details panel to start editing.

  2. Update any fields that need a refresh, for example name, address, phone number, email, or custom fields.

  3. If needed, assign or remove the client from lists using the Assign to list or Remove from list options so that audience segments stay clean.

Update notes and photo

While in Client details it is also possible to keep the profile richer than a phonebook entry.

  • Use Add new note to record important information, like preferences or important history. Notes help avoid the classic “who changed this and why” mystery.

  • Click the client avatar area to upload or change the Client photo, so the profile is easier to recognize at a glance.

Save changes

When all updates are done, click Save to apply the changes. If the wrong client was opened or nothing should change, simply close the panel instead of saving.

If a duplicate client is found while editing, I recommend using Merge clients from the Clients page so that all data ends up in a single clean record.
