Enabling Client Reminders

Turn on one-way client reminders with the Basic and Growth plans and choose when reminders are sent.

Enabling Client Reminders

Client reminders help reduce no-shows by sending automatic messages before upcoming appointments. With the Basic and Growth plans, reminders are one-way only – clients receive reminders but cannot reply by text.

Plan and country limits

  1. With the Basic and Growth plans, only one-way client reminders are available.

  2. Reminders are supported for sending to phone numbers in the US and Canada.

  3. To send reminders to other countries or use two-way SMS, upgrade to the Pro plan from Billing.


Opening Addons

  1. Log in to the Appointible account.

  2. Click Addons in the main menu.

Addon access permission is needed to open this page – if it is missing, an account admin can update permissions.

  1. On the Addons page, find the Client Reminders app.

  2. Click Configure to open the reminder settings.

Enabling the reminder rule

After signup, the account usually starts with a single default client reminder rule. It is a bit like a starter lens – basic, but it gets the job done.

  1. On the Client Reminders screen, find the existing reminder rule.

  2. Click the rule name or the pencil icon to edit the client reminder rule.

  1. Turn the Is automation rule enabled? switch to ON so reminders are active.

  2. Choose the best time to send appointment reminders. Many businesses prefer 24 hours before the appointment, but earlier or later can work depending on the schedule and clients.

  3. Click Save to apply the changes.

Changing text or rules

While the account is on the Basic or Growth plan, the reminder message text and the number of automation rules are managed by the Appointible team. If a different reminder text, timing pattern, or an extra rule is needed, contact support from the in-app messenger or Help Center and the team can adjust it.

For full control over reminder content, multiple rules, and two-way SMS, upgrading to the Pro plan from Billing is recommended.
