Assigning Priority Conversations
Two-way conversations in Inbox are available only on the Pro plan with the Appointible SMS Marketing add-on enabled. Once that is in place, assigning conversations and marking them as priority takes just a few clicks β no wizardry required.
Checking plan access
Two-way SMS conversations in Inbox are part of the Pro plan. If Pro is not active yet, it can be enabled from Billing. Look for the option to upgrade to the Pro plan and enable the Appointible SMS Marketing add-on.
Opening Inbox
1. Sign in to the Appointible account.
2. From the main navigation, select Inbox.
3. Choose the preferred view, for example Unassigned, My, or All, depending on which conversations should be handled.
Selecting a conversation
In the conversation list, select an unassigned conversation that should be handled. This opens the full conversation thread on the right side.
Assigning to a team member
1. In the conversation header, click the Unassigned label (or the current assignee name).
2. From the list, choose the team member who should own this conversation.
3. The assignee is updated immediately, so everyone can see who is responsible.
I recommend assigning conversations to the person most likely to resolve the issue in one reply β it keeps the Inbox tidy and the back-and-forth to a minimum.
Marking as priority
To highlight important conversations, use the priority flag:
1. In the same conversation header, click the flag icon.
2. The flag turns active, indicating that this conversation is now marked as priority.
3. Priority conversations are easier to spot in the list, so urgent messages do not quietly hide in the middle of everything else.
If the situation cools down, the flag can be clicked again to remove the priority status.
Tips for using priority
Here are a few simple ways to use priority flags effectively:
Flag time-sensitive messages, like last-minute appointment changes or urgent questions.
Unflag conversations once they are resolved to keep the priority list focused.
Combine priority flags with the My view to focus on the most important work for a specific team member.
