Analyzing campaign stats

Only accounts on the Appointible Pro plan with the SMS Marketing add-on enabled can access SMS campaign statistics. If Pro is not active yet, it can be upgraded any time from Billing.

Opening campaigns

To see statistics for a sent SMS Marketing campaign, start from the Campaigns page.

  1. Sign in to the Appointible account.

  2. In the left side panel, click the Marketing dropdown.

  3. Click Campaigns to open the list of all SMS campaigns.

Navigate to Campaigns from the Marketing dropdown.

Opening statistics

Each campaign in the list has a quick menu with more options, including statistics.

  1. Find the sent campaign that needs to be analyzed. If needed, use the filters at the top of Campaigns All to narrow down the list.

  2. Click the three dots menu next to the campaign name.

  3. Click Statistics.

Open the Statistics view from the three dots menu.

Understanding key metrics

The Statistics view gives a quick snapshot of how the campaign performed. It is a bit like a report card, but for SMS messages instead of math class.

  • Total messages – How many SMS messages were attempted for the campaign. This is based on the selected audience list or segment at send time.

  • Delivered – How many messages were successfully delivered to client phone numbers.

  • Failure rate – The percentage of messages that were not delivered. This usually includes:

    • Unsubscribed – Clients who opted out of marketing messages after or during the campaign.

    • Invalid numbers – Phone numbers that are not valid, so the message “bounced” and could not be delivered.

  • Cost of campaign – The total SMS cost for the campaign, based on the number of messages sent and the SMS pricing in the region.

Example of campaign statistics including failure rate and invalid numbers.

Improving future campaigns

Campaign statistics are most useful when used to improve the next send, not just admired once and forgotten.

  • If failure rate is high – Review client phone numbers in Audience Lists and Audience Segments. Cleaning up invalid numbers usually brings the rate down quickly.

  • If many clients unsubscribe – Consider adjusting message frequency, timing, or content. Smart sending and quiet hours can be fine-tuned in SMS Settings so messages arrive at more convenient times.

  • If cost is higher than expected – Check how large the selected list or segment is before sending the next campaign, and test with a smaller audience first if needed.

Over time, checking statistics after each send turns SMS Marketing from guesswork into a repeatable process that behaves almost predictably – in the best possible way.
